West and Foundation Press Casebooks

  • West Academic can provide online casebooks for ONLY those students who do not have access to a print version of their casebook. If you have a print version of your casebook available to you, then please do not proceed further.
  • You must first set up your account, which is the account you use for the West Online Study Aids. If you have not set up the account, then set it up here:
  • Once you have an account, then call (877) 888-1330, Ext. #4 to request a copy of the casebooks you need. 
  • NOTE: West Academic only provides casebooks it publishes--West and Foundation Press casebooks. If you are not sure whether your class text is a West casebook, please call or email a Reference Librarian to help you figure out who your casebook publisher is. Contact information for the Reference Librarians is on the left side panel of this page.

Wolters Kluwer (Aspen) Casebooks

  • Wolters Kluwer, publisher of Aspen casebooks, is generously providing e-access for those who cannot access their casebooks. These casebooks are available now through May 25.
  • To get started, visit the VitalSource Bookshelf. Create an account using your email address. You wil have the option to use an App-based version instead.
  • Once you are signed-in, use the Explore tab to see a list of books available. Once you Borrow a book, it will then appear in your Library tab.
  • NOTE: Students are limited to 7 titles to add to their personal bookshelf between now and May 25.
  • Wolters Kluwer (Aspen) provides access only to casebooks that it publishes. If you are uncertain who your casebook publisher is, please contact a Reference Librarian (contact information is in the left panel) for help.
  • At this time, we may only see a select list of casebook titles that we provided to Wolters Kluwer. If you need a title that is not available, please email Librarian Melanie Knapp so that she can ask Wolters Kluwer to add it to our available titles.

CasebookConnect (Aspen)

  • When you purchase a new Aspen casebook, you are provided with an electronic access code. The code allows you to access additional content online related to your casebook, including practice questions.
  • Until May 31, you can access the electronic content for up to 5 Aspen casebooks, if you don't already have access from your initial purchase of the book. 
  • To sign up, navigate to and sign up for an account using your .gmu email address.
  • This access is generously provided by Wolters Kluwer, the publisher of Aspen casebooks, during the covid-19 crisis.
