Resource guide for information about accessing electronic resources and law library services during the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic

West Online Study Aids

  • As always, the Law Library subscribes to a complete set of online West Study Aids and Hornbooks on your behalf.
  • If you have not yet set up an account for this resource, then you can navigate to the West Academic homepage and use your gmu.edu address to set up an account. A link is also provided in our list of Law Related databases.

You can get access to the Q&A study aids on the VitalSource Bookshelf (also where you find Aspen casebooks). Be sure you select only those you need, because you are limited to 7 total titles between now and May 25.

  • To get started, visit the VitalSource Bookshelf. Create an account using your gmu.edu email address. You wil have the option to use an App-based version instead.
  • Once you are signed-in, use the Explore tab to see a list of books available. Once you Borrow a book, it will then appear in your Library tab.
  • NOTE: Students are limited to 7 titles to add to their personal bookshelf between now and May 25.

Wolters Kluwer Online Study Aids--Examples & Explanations, Glannon Guides, and more!

  • Wolters Kluwer has provided the Library a three-month subscription to its online study aids, many of which the Library has provided in print format on Reserve. These include all Examples & Explanations, Glannon Guides, and Emanuel Law Outlines.
  • To access the content click here. You will be prompted to sign in with your GMU credentials. You cannot bookmark that site. You will need to use that link every time you go to the site because it includes the command to go through GMU's login system.
