Sources for Foreign Copyright Laws

Copyright throughout the World (Westlaw) covers 25 jurisdictions and is updated annually.

International Copyright Law & Practice (Lexis) has the copyright laws of 20+ jurisdictions.  It is also updated annually.

Sterling’s World Copyright Law 4th ed. (Westlaw) is available with infrequent updates.

Getting the Deal Through is available through Lexis & Bloomberg Law. This unique source has local practitioners address the important questions for a specified area of law in their jurisdiction of practice. The copyright laws of 12 countries are addressed by this source.

Finding Secondary Sources

A great tool for identifying foreign secondary sources for a particular area of law is the Foreign Law Guide Navigate to the country you are researching first, and then check for resources by practice area.

 

When doing foreign law research, it is often useful to check sources like Globalex for inroads to primary and secondary sources.
