Lexis Study Aids

Our LexisNexis Digital Library offers on-demand access to the Understanding series and the Question & Answer series in an easy-to-read, book-like format. Titles can be downloaded and/or accessed on the mobile app.

Using the Lexis Digital Library:

  1. Go to
  2. Sign in with your GMU authenticated account.
  3. Once you are logged in, you have access to the full LexisNexis Digital Library.

There is also a link to the Digital Library available on Lexis+, via the Product Switcher in the top left corner of the home page.

West Online Study Aids

  • The Law Library subscribes to a complete set of online West Study Aids and Hornbooks on your behalf. 
  • If you have not yet set up an account for this resource, then you can navigate to the West Academic homepage and use your address to set up an account. A link is also provided in our list of Law Related databases.

Using West Academic Assessment Tools:

  1. Go to and Create an Account or Sign In if you've already created an account with West Academic (same as for your Study Aids Subscription). Be sure to use your law school email address when creating an account.
  2. Once you are logged in, look for the "Q" quiz icon located below “Materials Provided by My School” and click on “Add a Quiz”.
  3. Here you will find the subjects for which there are available quizzes. Select the subject of the quiz you would like to add to your bookshelf and click “next”.
  4. Quizzes are keyed to specific Foundation Press® or West Academic Publishing casebooks.
  5. Once the quiz set is on your bookshelf, click on it to view the quizzes.
