In the event of inclement weather, please look to the following sources of information about the operating status of the university, including the law school:

• The George Mason University home page.
• The Mason Alert e-mail system. Note: All university students and employees are automatically enrolled in Mason Alert but are strongly advised to register cell phone number(s) and additional email addresses to ensure emergency messages are received in a timely manner.
• Call the university's information number at 703-993-1000.

In the event that there is a power outage in Arlington, the best source of information will be the media announcements or assuming the telephone is working, the telephone message at 703-993-8000.

In the event of a delayed opening, please note that Van Metre Hall and Hazel Hall exterior doors will not open until one hour before the delayed opening time.

In all instances of bad weather, leave additional time to arrive safely at your destination.
