Canvas is GMU's enterprise learning management system. If you are a new faculty member, you will need to claim your Mason NetID before you can log in.
For general assistance using Canvas, please visit the Canvas Instructor Guide. GMU has also created a Getting Started with Canvas for Instructors page with curated resources to assist with learning the platform as well as a Canvas Instructional Technology Support for Faculty page with additional resources.
You can visit MasonLeaps to sign up for GMU hosted Canvas workshops by selecting Canvas under "Browse for Training." GMU has also created two courses within Canvas with additional training materials and resources. "Growing with Canvas at George Mason" offers course modules on specific Canvas features and "ID Village" was created by the Stearns Center and offers templates and options for contacting GMU's team of instructional designers, including scheduling an individual consultation.
Please note that all courses are unpublished on Canvas until published by faculty. Please see our Quick Start Guide below for how to publish your course.
