The Wall Street Journal

Faculty and staff have full complimentary access to The Wall Street Journal through GMU.

To create your WSJ.com account:

  • Visit WSJ.com/GeorgeMasonU
  • Enter your first and last name, and choose an account type (Faculty or Staff).
  • Enter your preferred email address and create a unique password for your WSJ access; click "Create" to complete your WSJ.com account
    • Do not use the same email and password combination as your MasonID.
    • You may use your personal email.
  • Visit WSJ.com and sign in using the account information that you provided to WSJ.

The New York Times

Faculty and staff have full complimentary access to NYTimes.com through GMU.

Create your NYTimes account by logging in with your Mason credentials. Once you login through GMU, you will be prompted to create a NYTimes account. Your username should be your Mason email address but we strongly recommend creating a unique password, different from your Mason credentials.

Once you have created your personal account, you can access NYTimes.com directly. Each NYTimes Pass confirms your Mason status for one year. If you previously claimed a Pass but it has stopped working, please claim another Pass by following the reactivate instructions.

Financial Times

Faculty and staff also have complimentary online access to Financial Times' FT.com.

First-time users can register on the Financial Times website.
